Quick Help: Block or allow specific cookies

25. Jun 2012

Please note that this is something that makes you stick out.

I already told you how to change Firefox settings to evade tracking through cookies. Session cookies allow to track you for a session and you don’t pick which cookie you allow and which don’t you look like anyone else. There might be enough people that disable cookies entirely. They don’t pick which they want and which don’t. When you allow cookies, but block some or you block cookies and allow some you stick out.

It still can help to improve your privacy.

You may block all cookies by default, but allow those you need to log-in.

Open the Firefox preferences and go to “Privacy” and change the setting from “Remember history” to “Use custom settings for history”. Click on “Exceptions” and enter “example.com” now either “Allow” or “Block” it.
