Ratings disabled due to SSL breakage

17. Dec 2012

I disabled the ratings which I had enabled 17 days ago due to SSL breakage.

Some browsers show a warning when some content is loaded via https while other content is loaded via http; I had this warning disabled and did not notice it earlier.

To get rid of the warning (and use SSL whenever possible) I disabled the ratings again.

  1. SSL breakage just means that content was not served via https.

Mixed content isn’t all that great. Some browsers show a warning and it’s up the user to figure out why it does that.

Polls would also break SSL, so don’t expect to see any.
